Sound Level Information for fans Rosenberg

The sound power levels shown on the fan curves are for inlet Lwi A scale for installation type D: ducted inlet, ducted outlet. Ratings include the effects of ducted end correction.

If the sound power frequency spectrum is needed, for example, the design of sound attenuators, the A- rated sound power levels at particular octave band frequency

LWA can be calculated by subtracting the relative sound level Lwrel.

LWA = Lwi – Lwrel

The acoustic values of the inlet side can be used for the outlet side of the fans as well.

The sound pressure level at the inlet at 1m distance in low reflection installation can be obtained by deducting 11dB from the sound power level at the inlet side. The sound pressure difference from 1m to distance a is obtained as follows:

Lp = 10 * log (1/a ).

Please note that reflections and room characteristics as well as natural frequencies influence the size of the sound pressure level differently.
